El Manantial, which means 'oasis', is North Reston's popular Spanish-Italian-French fusion restaurant. It offers an upscale dining experience at an affordable price, delectable Mediterranean cuisine and a spacious, European-style decor. The restaurant has earned an excellent regional reputation due to its understated elegance, intimate and romantic atmosphere, unparalleled service, and much celebrated ecclectic menu.

The food is prepared daily using fresh ingredients. The special Tapas and Pizza menu is available Monday through Saturday only. The wine cellar stores a selection of outstanding wines (white, red and rose) from France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Chile, Argentina and California, as well as champagne (France).  Chef Enrique Fuentes has delighted restaurant goers for over two decades in the DC area, working as head chef for both La Cote d'Or in Falls Church and La Brasserie on Capitol Hill. Patisserie Chef Emilia Fuentes Marquez comes to El Manantial directly from Café La Ruche in Georgetown, where for 20 years she exhibited her talent for sumptuous and creative patisserie.

The restaurant is run by eight members of the Fuentes family, all originally from El Salvador, who bring a broad and impressive knowledge about world-class cuisine and service to the table. They were working at eight separate locations when they decided to band together to launch a joint venture that is now known as El Manantial. They perfected their skills at Washinton-D.C. establishments such as  El Tio Pepe (Georgetown), The Lebanese Taverna, La Taberna del Alabardero, Café La Ruche (Georgetown) and La Brasserie (Capital Hill) in D.C.; and, La Cote d'Or in Falls Church. Collectively, they represent over 120 years of culinary and hospitality experience, all at your service.

In 2003, El Manantial appeared on Washingtonian magazine's "Top 100 Restaurants" list, and was named one of the year's "Top 20 Restaurants to Watch". The eatery received rave reviews in the 2004 Zagat Restaurant Guide, and appeared in The Washington Post Magazine's Restaurant Dining Guide. El Manantial has received numerous awards including OpenTable.com's Dinner's Choice in 2009 and 2010.
