At Guapo's, it's all about family because for the Rincon's, everything they have done has centered always on the family. Hector and Rocio arrived in Virginia with their four young children and a determination to succeed in the 1980S. Their efforts were so successful that the first family-owned Guapo's Restaurant opened in D.C. in 1991, offering the warmest hospitality and the best of the Tex- Mex and Latin American cuisines. In due course, their four children graduated from Fairfax county public schools and universities and now they and their children continue the same aspirations as Hector and Rocio did when they arrived over 30 years ago.
At Guapo's guests are treated as members of the Rincon family and this is reflected in the way Guapo's Restaurants cater to all their customers. Guapo's takes pride in its hospitality-first approach. We believe a great dining experience begins with family. At our restaurants we combine great atmosphere with friendly staff and quality food. We hope our efforts as a family-owned business for hospitality and quality will be reflected in a satisfying dining experience for you and your guests as we make you feel right at home. Since 1991, seven additional locations in the Washington D.C. metro area, have strengthened our philosophy: "Bienvenidos, our home is your home!"
"There's Genuine Texas Around Town. At Guapo's you can find it:
- As Seen in Washingtonian Magazine - Mark Murray head of the DC Texas Exes, the University of Texas Alumni group, votes Guapo's Restaurant the best Tex-Mex in the area. "It has a Mexico-flavored feel to it. It just seems what we are used to in Texas," he says. Murray also gives Guapo's the thumbs-up for its chips and salsa.
